The houses are furnished and contain displays which suit their date of use. The gardens complement the buildings.

The Historical Society invites you to visit our Village of Period Houses and a Chapel set in gardens on a reserve on the corner of Silverdale Street and Wainui Road.

Since 1968 the Society has brought together historic buildings from the Hibiscus Coast area which represent our history from 1840 to 1940.

We have also collected information and photographs about early settler families and organisations and events into our archives.
